Job Title:              Entry Level CNC Machine Operator

Job Type:             Full Time (90 Day Probation Period)

Pay Range:          $9.00 - $12.00

Responsibilities:

A CNC Machine Operator will load/unload and operate vertical CNC mill equipment to produce quality, high volume parts in a safe and productive manner.  This person will also have the ability to check, inspect and process parts (filing, aligning, fitting) using a wide variety of hand tools.    

 Duties will include:

• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. 
• Ability to identify basic material types.
• Load and unload vertical CNC machines.
• Safe operation of a CNC cold saw.
• Read basic blue prints and specification sheets.
• Utilize calipers, micrometers and height gauge to accurately measure parts and ensure dimensions are within print specifications.
• Process parts to meet visual and dimensional standards.
• Complete required documentation with accurate information.
• Ability to run supporting shop equipment in a safe and effective manner. 
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Safety, Quality, Health and the Environment.

 Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read and write in English.
• Experience reading and adhering to blue prints and requirements.
• Experience using basic types of inspection gages. 
• Recognize and utilize tools effectively. 
• Basic knowledge of computer systems.
• Ability to take work instructions from a lead or supervisor to complete tasks assigned. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team oriented and the ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles. 
• Ability to reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel material. 

 Preferred:

• Knowledge and understanding G and M codes. 
• Downloading and uploading programs.
• Two years CNC machinist experience in the above duties.

 Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift or move 25 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout the workday.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel material. 

 Availability:

• Must have the ability and willingness to work AM and PM hours. (Days, Swing, Weekend Days, Weekend Swing).
• Willingness to work overtime hours as required.
